Japan Watch Service Case Deposit™ is the paid case-opening deposit for an already-owned watch whose Japan-side servicing, warranty, repair, boutique, seller, service-centre, return, or aftercare route has moved beyond initial review and now requires active coordination.

Use this once the watch, available documentation, service objective, ownership context, location, and intended outcome are sufficiently defined to justify a controlled Japan-side case path.

Choose the appropriate deposit level

  • Service Route Coordination Deposit — $750: for a defined service, warranty, return, or aftercare route requiring initial Japan-side case coordination after the review.
  • Active Service & Return Deposit — $1,250: for cases requiring several coordination layers across seller, boutique, service-centre, workshop, controlled handoff, documentation, or return-path planning.
  • High-Value Custody Deposit — $2,500: for high-value, rare, vintage, limited, cross-border, time-sensitive, or custody-sensitive watches where service routing, insured movement, documentation, and several operational stages may intersect.

What this case path may include

  • Active case routing and practical scope confirmation
  • Japan-side service, warranty, boutique, seller, service-centre, workshop, or return-path coordination where accepted
  • Review of available ownership, purchase, warranty, service-history, and movement documentation relevant to the route
  • Controlled handoff, custody, domestic transfer, return-path, or movement sequencing guidance where accepted
  • Identification of repair, diagnostics, parts, authentication, insured transport, customs, or third-party vendor requirements requiring a separate quote or route
  • A recommended operational quote, service-provider path, movement path, or escalation into the appropriate JapanSolved™ desk

Important boundary

This deposit opens an active watch-service coordination case. It is not a repair fee, manufacturer authorisation, warranty approval, service-centre booking guarantee, authentication certificate, valuation, insurance policy, shipping purchase, customs service, or guarantee that a boutique, brand, seller, authorised centre, independent workshop, carrier, or insurer will accept the watch or complete a requested outcome.

Diagnostics, repair work, replacement parts, manufacturer charges, boutique charges, service-centre fees, seller charges, physical inspection, packing, storage, domestic transfer, international shipping, insurance, export preparation, customs brokerage, duties, taxes, and third-party vendor costs are separate unless expressly quoted. This deposit does not guarantee repairability, parts availability, warranty acceptance, service timing, final price, movement approval, or return timing.

Where a larger accepted scope is required, the deposit may be credited toward that quoted work where appropriate. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout, including Japan’s local 10% consumption tax where applicable.

After checkout

After payment, complete the assigned intake form using the same checkout email and include the order reference, watch photos, available model and serial information, proof of purchase or warranty details where available, service history, current issue, current location, destination, timing pressure, custody constraints, and the outcome you need.
