A case deposit does not guarantee acceptance, authentication, export approval, seller cooperation, acquisition success, or third-party conclusions. It opens deeper routing, specialist coordination, or execution preparation. If the case is accepted into a larger scope, the deposit may be credited toward quoted work where appropriate.

When an art or antique matter has moved beyond baseline review and specialist Japan-side coordination must begin.

Japan Art & Antique Specialist Case Deposit™ is the paid case-opening deposit for urgent, complex, high-value, culturally sensitive, export-sensitive, or acquisition-adjacent Japanese object matters that need more than a baseline review.

Choose the deposit level that best matches the case already in front of you. This payment opens the deeper case-routing path for accepted work; it does not buy a guaranteed outcome, third-party decision, seller cooperation, or export approval.

Choose the appropriate deposit level

  • Specialist Coordination Deposit — $750: for deeper routing, documentation follow-up, specialist coordination, inspection planning, or a tightly defined next step after the initial review.
  • Acquisition & Negotiation Deposit — $1,500: for cases approaching seller contact, acquisition support, negotiation planning, pickup, custody, or coordinated Japan-side action.
  • Export & Cultural Property Deposit — $2,500: for culturally sensitive, movement-sensitive, or export-sensitive matters where documentation, specialist routing, compliance sequencing, and logistics planning may intersect.

What this case path may include

  • Deeper case routing and scope confirmation
  • Seller, gallery, auction, or intermediary communication planning where accepted
  • Specialist, inspection, provenance, attribution, or condition coordination
  • Acquisition, negotiation, pickup, custody, or movement-path planning where relevant
  • Export-risk and cultural-property sequencing where visible or applicable
  • A recommended next quote, work scope, or route into the appropriate JapanSolved™ desk

Important boundary

It does not include purchase funds, third-party expert fees, travel, physical inspection, packing, storage, domestic delivery, freight, insurance, customs brokerage, or other external vendor costs unless separately quoted.

Where a larger scope is accepted, the deposit may be credited toward the quoted work where appropriate.
